JAKARTA - Officials in flood-hit parts of Indonesia reported shortages of food, shelter, and medicine as the death toll reached 950 Monday following weeks of heavy rain.

Thailand has destroyed a casino used as Cambodia’s drone control station and is now targeting rocket bases that threaten Thai communities, according to the Royal Thai Army.

BANGKOK - Thailand launched air strikes on its neighbour Cambodia on Monday, the Thai army said, with both sides trading blame for the latest eruption of fighting on their disputed border, which has killed a Thai soldier.

Thailand will launch "all necessary military operations" in response to Cambodia’s latest attacks, which began on Sunday, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said after a top level security meeting on Monday. 

Thai residents along the border with Cambodia continued to vacate their homes on Monday, moving to safe shelters further inland, after Cambodia resumed armed attacks along the frontier.
